About
Genesis Acaye
Genesis was born in Kitgum in northern Uganda. As a trained agriculturalist, he began working on agricultural projects for BMS World Mission in 2012, later joining as an International Mission Worker to his home country.
Working through local church networks, Genesis now trains pastors, farmers, and community groups in sustainable methods of growing crops and raising livestock. With higher household incomes and better standards of living, children in previously isolated communities can attend school. Genesis also seeks to encourage those he teaches in their faith.
Genesis is an active member of his church, involved in youth work, the choir and worship. He particularly enjoys playing local instruments such as the adungu (a harp-like instrument).
