It is with great gratitude to God and to all those who support us that we write this letter of prayer. Psalms 33:12-13: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD. Blessed is the people he chooses for his inheritance. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear him, upon those who hope in his loving kindness.
The goodness of the Lord carried us through the months of 2024. He kept us in physical and spiritual health. We also took part in the physical and spiritual well-being of people through Guinebor 2 hospital and the surrounding churches.
As far as the work is concerned, several patients have benefited from care and have left the hospital, full of joy and gratitude to God and to the G2 hospital staff. The maternity ward had many births. Regarding surgery, we had cases of trauma and others, with an average of 100 cases per month. Many families have left with joy following the healing of their loved ones, or the safe birth of their babies either naturally or via c-section. We give thanks to the Lord for the help of the gynaecologist Dr Judit and Dr Catrin, an emergency doctor, who both came from Sweden for 6 weeks.
Our friend Dr Claudia, her fiancé Helmut and a group of young people (doctor's couple, midwife, medical student) who are potential future missionaries from Germany came for a visit. Their contribution was a great help to the hospital and our patients.
We are most grateful to the Lord who not only healed many people physically but also saved their souls. One example is a young man who was involved in a road accident with a motorbike. After traditional care, his family brought him to Guinebor 2 Hospital. He underwent a femoral amputation and shortly afterwards, with the help of the chaplains, gave his life to the Lord Jesus. What a great joy to be saved for eternity!
The hospital has received financial support from BMS, Guernsey Overseas Aid and Development Commission, CEF, OFF and the Hungarian Embassy. This has helped to improve and equip our health services. The administration and financial management systems have been greatly improved with the help of Lucia Bastos, who is in charge of projects and finance management. The pharmacy, after the CEF donation and the management team decision to allow the pharmacy to use 100% of its income, is able to have enough pharmaceutical products for our patients.
I thank the Lord who always supports me in my responsibilities. My family and I are very happy to see our eldest son, Solomon, return to the path of faith in Jesus and be at peace with his brothers. We are also very happy that one of our adopted son’s and his wife have had a child.
There is no shortage of challenges in life and work. The Arab population around the G2 hospital are happy with the hospital but expect special treatment because they are living the closest. Some staff have difficulty with our financial management system. The most dissatisfied insist that others revolt, others seek to speak badly of the services offered to push for an uprising.
Despite all this, the Lord is in control. The men to whom these staff members speak give us an account of who they are.
Proverbs 16:7 When the LORD approves a man's ways, He will deal favourably with him, even with his enemies.
I learned a lesson: listen to those around you to find out what they want and also to get to know them better so that we can live together better.

11. Pray that God will strengthen Solomon's commitment to follow the Lord.
12. Pray that our children will do well in their exams.
It is a great privilege to serve the Lord in Chad with your support, despite the difficulties and challenges. It is through these challenges that God reforms the character of each person to make them useful in his work. It is through the challenges that he gives me new capacity and skill to serve him better. Thank you for all the support from the churches and individuals, and particularly through BMS for the happiness of the Chadian people, may God bless you.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year in 2025 with the blessings of health, peace and spiritual and material prosperity!
With love, your servant
