BMS World Mission: Impact Report 2025

Learn how your support changes lives across the globe.

Do you know how important your support is to us?

In 2025, 736,514 people were impacted by BMS World Mission’s work. This ranged from 603,556 people getting assistance after a disaster to 15,982 people receiving legal help from BMS partner the Ugandan Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity.

Your kindness and care made this happen. Because of you, we were able to change many people’s lives for good. Behind each number is a person with a story to tell.

To celebrate this, we’ve released an Impact Report to share with you just some of what you made possible in the past year.

Come on a journey with us to explore these stories.

BMS' 2025 Impact Report.

From Spain to North Africa

Heart for the Gospel

Let’s start at the beginning, January 2025. We find ourselves in a small media room located in Spain. A blinking light at the bottom of a monitor signals that the room is “live”. A broadcast is going out to North Africa. The message? Sharing the good news of Jesus.

Your support helps our partner to broadcast God's love to North Africa.

A phone lights up with a notification, and Habib*, the team’s apologist, smiles. It’s Maghdi*, a North African man who has been watching the most recent video Advent series created by the team, and he wants to keep chatting. He’s been asking good questions, learning about the Christian faith and has now decided to give his life to Jesus. BMS mission workers Andrea and Ian are thrilled. They work with Habib to figure out how they can link Maghdi up with Christians in his own country, so he can study the Bible with someone and not be alone in his newfound faith.

You allow us to reach the unreached in North Africa and across the world.

Sharing the gospel in North Africa is especially challenging and can be dangerous, yet because of your help, many people have encountered the good news through our partner, who shares the good news of Jesus through online videos and broadcasts. But BMS’ work goes further than just North Africa and has a global reach, sharing the good news of Jesus across the world.

I will build my church

Hope for the world

Our next step takes us across to a gathering of people just outside a newly built church in Chad. The group stand around a small square pool buried in the ground, surrounded by sandy dirt stretching out as far as the eye can see. The sense of excitement and celebration in the air is palpable.

One person comes out of the pool, dripping wet and grinning, whilst another is preparing themselves to go in and get baptised. The backdrop to this special moment is their church building, made of handmade bricks, a freshly laid floor and solid foundations.

Your support helped a community in Chad rebuild their church.

Less than a year before, the entire church had collapsed as the mud floors were washed away. Thanks to your support, which came alongside the congregation and other generous local donors, you enabled these Chadian Christians to rebuild their church.

Your care gives practical help to those who need it the most.

It isn’t just this church family in Bardaï that has benefitted from BMS’ support. Across the world, 63,546 people have received practical help through regular BMS-funded programmes and long-term partners. With your support, many thousands of people who were trapped by their circumstances have found hope and a way out.

A slice of hope

Help for the Journey

The next step of our journey leads us to southern Lebanon: the Beqaa Valley. It is March, and we are in a small house with a husband, wife and four children. The home is sparsely furnished, but is wonderfully hospitable, and it is obvious that every effort has been made to make visitors welcome. In the corner are a few blankets, neatly folded. On the table, a cake.

Due to her husband’s and some of her children’s health conditions, Sara*, the mother, must be on hand to give family members round-the-clock care.

This has limited the family's funds and has meant that at times they have had to be reliant on the local church to help. They started receiving food parcels, and this last winter, Sara received blankets to help keep the family warm.

Sara* is just one of the people who you have helped.

Living in Lebanon, Sara and her family have experienced first-hand the economic pressures caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and an ever-growing population of internally displaced families and refugees.

Across the world, your assistance helps many who are displaced.

It isn’t just people in Lebanon that your care has reached. Across the world, many forcibly displaced people have received support, whether that’s while in transit or once they’ve found themselves in a new country that has become their home.

Hurricane Melissa

Disaster relief

We now find ourselves standing on a street outside, with piles of rubble where homes used to be. It is the very end of October 2025, and the area still looks windswept. The road next to us has unusually few cars, which have instead been replaced by fallen power lines and broken trees. The church in front of us has been flattened, and a gazebo has been set up next to it, with many people gathered around tables beneath it.

We’re in Jamaica, weeks after Hurricane Melissa, the Category 5 storm that swept the country.

Even in crisis, your aid helps thousands.

Placed on the tables are many bottles of water, care packages and piles of clothing for those who are most in need, sent out from Jamaica’s Baptist Union Peace and Justice Centre. The mood from those queuing to pick up supplies is surprisingly cheerful and full of gratitude. Grateful that they are still alive. Gratitude for the resources that have come.

Your support of BMS’ Disaster recovery fund allowed us to swiftly agree a grant of £15,000 towards relief efforts in Jamaica. Those affected by Hurricane Melissa were just some of the thousands in 2025 who got support from BMS after a disaster.

It’s thanks to your prayers, financial donations and support that BMS can help people across the world and change hundreds of thousands of lives every year.

Thank you for all your support.
