Church and Community Mobilisation Coordinator (Asia)

ASIA

Are you passionate about mobilising churches in integral mission? Are you an experienced facilitator in Church and Community Mobilisation (CCM)? Do you have a desire and vision to see CCM scaled up across Asia? Are you a strategic problem solver, with a commitment to ensuring quality implementation and strong impact? This might be the role for you!

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation, working in over 30 countries on four continents, to help people experience fullness of life in Jesus Christ. Supporting Church and Community Mobilisation (CCM) is one way BMS works with local churches; equipping them to live out their faith in all areas of life and transform their local communities.

CCM seeks to envision churches in integral mission and empower them to reach out to their communities and use their God-given local resources in a sustainable and holistic manner. BMS is currently supporting CCM in two countries in Asia and is working with its partner organisations to strengthen its impact and scale it up.

This role will coordinate the CCM activities across BMS’ partner organisations, networks and hubs in Asia, as well as help to develop BMS' strategic direction of travel in Asia. As our CCM Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for BMS’ partners in Asia who are implementing CCM.

The role includes:

  • Supporting partners with CCM strategies, budgets, activity plans and reports

  • Building partner capacity and training high-quality facilitators

  • Building relationships with CCM stakeholders beyond BMS partners

  • Supporting BMS and partners to design and embed monitoring, evaluation and learning tools to support the continual improvement of CCM quality and impact

  • Communicating the impact of CCM to BMS supporters and staff

The successful applicant will be an experienced CCM facilitator and trainer, who has led their church and community through the process. They will also have experience in CCM coordination and strategy, be sympathetic to BMS’ beliefs and values, and be a committed Christian.
