Estelle's story

Estelle is one of thousands of people who have been displaced within Cameroon in the past few years due to violence between militia, rebels and armed separatist groups. Violent threats pushed Estelle to take a perilous journey through the bush to reach safety – safety she's eventually found in Cyprus. Hear how Estelle has found joy once again through volunteering at a BMS-supported welcome centre, and how you can bring practical help to those left with nothing through the Refugees Welcome Harvest appeal 2025.

Boran's story

Boran’s sister and brother-in-law were killed in the Israel-Gaza war, in an explosion that hit a six-storey building they’d been sheltering in during an air strike. With her daughters scattered across the Middle East by the conflict, Boran has lost everything. Learn how Boran has found a sense of home and community again at a BMS-supported refugee welcome centre in Cyprus, and how you can bring this same feeling of homecoming to others through the Refugees Welcome Harvest appeal 2025.

Junior's story

Junior was only 12 years old when he was asked to identify his father's body. Armed gunmen had stormed the school he taught in, and it's this same violence that forced Junior to leave his home in D R Congo and become a refugee at the age of just 16. Listen to his powerful story of how God worked amidst devastation to bring about hope. You'll be left feeling inspired about how you can bring this same hope to others through BMS World Mission's Refugees Welcome Harvest appeal 2025.
