With their three children, Alan and Megan left their lives in Cambridgeshire in 2000 and followed God’s call for them to start a new chapter as BMS World Mission workers in Nepal.
Alan and Megan have lived in Kathmandu, Sukhret, and Pokhara. Alan uses his expertise in management to support and develop relationships with BMS partnership organisations. Megan uses her occupational therapy skills, alongside her Nepalese colleagues, to grow rehabilitation services. They are expanding the work beyond leprosy to include other disabilities.
A family with a big heart for travel and adventure, Alan and Megan’s three children and grandchildren now live across the UK, South Korea and Vietnam.
Alan enjoys karate and listening to music and Megan loves to dance and swim!
Alan and Megan Barker will be on home assignment in the UK. from 2 June until 7 July 2025.
