November 2025

November update

Dear Friends,

My family and I give thanks to God for His protection and His continual faithfulness in showing His goodness to us and to the work through the Guinebor2 Hospital.

The Lord has been good to my family and to the entire Guinebor2 Hospital. We have enjoyed perfect health in my family.

God’s favour and grace continue to be evident at Guinebor2 because of your prayers and all your financial contributions. Our staff, proud to serve at Guinebor2, produce appreciable results. This has earned us a good reputation in Chad and neighbouring countries.

Given the need and the workload, a reorganisation of our administrative service has been carried out:

  • The finance department: accounting, treasury, cash, with Lucia as manager.
  • Human resources and general administration under the responsibility of Alain.

Our project for a prosthetics manufacturing centre for people with disabilities is progressing: a locally made heating oven, a construction plan awaiting funding, and a location to start have been identified.

All this proves that your prayers are being answered.

We have not been without challenges during these months:

  • Misunderstandings,
  • A challenging situation with a colleague dismissed from work,
  • Challenges with patient attendants during visits.

Our children have been successful (Timothée has made much progress at Wilsprings School, Josué passed his baccalaureate and started medical school).
Our eldest son, Salomon, has returned to God and is making progress on the path of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

For the work of salvation, the Lord has shown His goodness with the baptism of 10 young people and one lady in September 2025.

The hospital’s activities have been growing these past months and have been beneficial to our patients and their families, as well as to us:

  • Lives have been saved.
  • 309 births, with no maternal deaths and only one neonatal death.
  • Our financial system has made much progress, achieving a good result in the third quarter of 2025.
  • The implants for hip prostheses (Hip Replacement) have already changed the lives of several Chadian citizens at Guinebor2 Hospital.
  • The management training sponsored by BMS has improved our staff management and leadership.

Despite everything, I thank God who supports me and gives me wisdom every day.

  • I thank BMS for Mrs Jenny, my pastoral support, and for Nicola and Gladys, who have been a great support to me.
  • I thank God for the efforts made both financially and in prayer for the prosthetics & orthotics centre project, which has made much progress—a heating oven has been made, and fruitful contacts have been established for the project’s advancement.
  • I thank all the churches and brothers and sisters who pray for my family and the hospital.
  • I thank the friends from Germany who continue to provide us with hip prosthesis implants.
  • I thank the Lord for my colleagues who work hard and for the results of their work.
  • I thank God for the visit of Dr EVA, a surgeon from Sweden for six weeks, and her colleague, a gynaecologist.

Pray that God will give us a surgeon and a stable gynaecologist who will carry the vision and the work. Pray for people capable of training in administration, imaging, nursing, and medicine to raise the level and quality of care at G2. Pray for peace and social cohesion in Chad. Pray that God will grant us more sources of electrical energy at G2. Pray that God will support, guide, and protect my family.

Thank you to BMS, the churches, and other organisations and individuals for your support and contributions to keep G2 functional for the well-being of the Chadian people and for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

May the Lord bless all those who have contributed and continue to contribute to God’s work at Guinebor2 Hospital.

Your servant,
Kalbassou Doubassou
