I trust that all is well with you. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ who has offered us the grace to be adopted into the eternal kingdom.
I would like to thank the Lord for the time he has offered for me to come and visit the UK and share with a number of Churches.
It was very good to catch up and share what God is doing here in Gulu in person.
The time shared together was a blessing to me, to see faces and meet with people and churches supporting the work in Gulu. We visited only a handful of churches which I take it as a representation of the bigger church perhaps God will allow me to visit more next time and share in the fellowship and partnership.
I am now back in Gulu and thank you for the prayers and support.
We supported the farming households participating in the farming activities with tarpaulin each to help them during post-harvest handling.
The farmers will be able to use the tarpaulin for drying their produce such as maize, beans and others. This will help to improve on the cleanliness of the produce and therefore sell their produce at better price because of improve quality.
The farmers were also trained by my colleague, Stephen on how to avoid post-harvest losses that normally occurs right from the garden until the crops are sold or consumed. Through this we expect to see improvement on how the crops will be handled by the farmers and also general improvement in drying and storage of the produce.
By end of December, we shall be winding up the current agricultural work with the 101 households and begin a new work with new communities next year January 2025. We expect to work with 100 vulnerable households to improve on their farming skills for better livelihoods in the next two years. This will also present an opportunity to share the word of the Lord through the bible studies that will be greatly integrated in the training programme. The integration of the Church and community mobilization process in our agricultural program will greatly help in capacity building of the farmers and also increase bible knowledge of the people and the church and this will help in their growth of their faith.
We are very grateful for your prayers and support for the ministry here in Gulu and you pray that.
- Register and support additional 100 households in 2025 for two years.
- We expand the agroforestry work and plan more trees with the communities.
- Other programs continue well such as the pastors training, child protection, borehole drillings and others.
May the Lord bless you and keep watch over you. Catch up again
