Expect Regional Event – Altrincham Baptist Church

This year, to coincide with our quadrennial ‘Expect’ conference, BMS World Mission will be hosting events for churches and individuals around the UK to share our heart and vision for mission. This in-person event at Altrincham Baptist Church will be an opportunity to hear from Wissam Nasrallah (Lebanon), Pastor J (Cambodia) and Shireen Hilal (Bethlehem Bible College) alongside Arthur Brown, BMS Director of World Mission, to explore what God is doing around the world, worship together and to pray for the global Church.

    BMS Director for World Mission

    Building on his experience as a Mission Worker in Lebanon Arthur now leads strategic initiatives to support global church engagement and mission partnerships. His experience and passion make him a compelling voice for mission-focused transformation and spiritual renewal.

  • Wissam Nasrallah

    President of ABTS

    Wissam serves as the President of the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS), a ministry of Thimar (formerly known as LSESD), a non-profit organisation in Lebanon and a long-term partner of BMS. Thimar seeks to share the gospel across the Arab world through inclusive education, community development and discipleship. He works closely with local churches across the region, equipping faithful ministers of the gospel.

  • Pastor J Lalduhawma

    Mission worker in Cambodia

    Pastor J, from Mizoram serves in Cambodia. As a mission worker, he is the senior pastor of a house church, leads training for evangelists in church planting and leadership. By focussing on selected villages with integrated ministry meeting local needs, Pastor J seeks to grow disciples and the church sustainably in Cambodia. Pastor J was ordained and worked in cross-cultural mission in the Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM), India, before accepting God’s calling to Cambodia with his wife and three children in 2014.

Shireen Hilal, Bethlehem Bible College

Shireen began her career as a teacher at the Evangelical Lutheran School in Beit-Sahour, before becoming an administrative secretary at Life Agape-Jerusalem and then an administrator at Beit Al Liqa in Beit Jala before joining Bethlehem Bible College.
She was the Dean of Students at Bethlehem Bible College, as well as a lecturer, and is now the Director of Bethlehem Bible College Community & Outreach. She is a leader for women and is involved in a youth ministry that works for rights/reconciliation and leadership.
