What are you looking for?
Thousands of families have been displaced, with no warm clothes or shelter to protect them from the approaching winter. This follows the Israeli ground offensive against paramilitary group Hezbollah in September 2024, in which ordinary families found themselves caught up and needing to flee.
£6 a month could provide displaced people with blankets and bedding, keeping them warm through the winter months.
£15 a month could help feed families and provide them with the hygiene items they need in refugee camps.
£28 could provide more than two families in need with emergency hygiene items like nappies and sanitary towels.
Committing to give today will give vulnerable families a lifeline in the form of blankets, food and hygiene items. You’ll do this by supporting BMS partner Thimar, whose mission is to follow Jesus, share his love and produce abundant fruit in his name. Thimar means ‘fruit’ in Arabic. You'll also support other partners helping those displaced by war, persecution or natural disasters.
Thimar equips local churches to help those around them. One family we've reached so far is Sara’s.* “Some days we have nothing to give to our children,” she told us. “We can’t even buy bread. The church stands by us every time this happens.”
Today, the need is greater than ever. Any amount that you are able to give could offer a lifeline.
One-off gifts will be used to fund work with displaced people in Lebanon, as well as other similar work supporting refugees. If our appeal target is exceeded, we will use additional funds to support urgent BMS work in other parts of the world.
