Contributors

  • Dave and Michele Mahon

    Mission Workers in Peru,

Dave and Michele are both Baptist ministers. They are passionate about the scriptures, especially in the areas of pastoral care, prayer, discipleship and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Dave and Michele felt called by God to leave London with their young family and serve with BMS in Peru. After arriving in 2017, they initially worked in the Peruvian Amazon, where they trained and supported local pastors and churches. In January 2023, they relocated to the coastal city of Trujillo to join a Baptist Seminary, where they are involved in preparing Peruvians for mission. Their heart’s desire is to see people experience the abundant life of Christ.

  • Laura-Lee Lovering

    Creation Stewardship Coordinator, BMS

Laura has been serving as an environmental specialist with BMS World Mission since 2012. Initially she worked in the Peruvian Amazon, developing environmental and educational initiatives through the Nauta Integral Mission Training Centre. In 2021, Laura relocated in-country to Piura and took up the role of Creation Stewardship Coordinator for BMS and the local Baptist partner. Her focus was split between the wider goal of embedding environmental sustainability across all BMS's activities and promoting creation stewardship locally through theological education and practical church-based projects. In 2025, Laura transitioned back to the UK to continue her role as Creation Stewardship Coordinator for the whole of BMS. She also enjoys connecting with churches who want to find out more about how to play their part in creation care.

  • Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos grew up in a Christian family in Venezuela and has served as a church planter and sports chaplain. Now based in Peru he serves in global mission mobilisation, leadership training, community prayer and evangelism among unreached people. His role includes supporting church planting, helping churches share God’s love, and sending Peruvians into cross-cultural mission in Peru and beyond. He also builds partnerships and equips local churches for mission.
