Introductions

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am Rev. Barnabas Hemrom, Mission Manager of Bangladesh Baptist Church Sangha. Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am very thankful for your prayers, encouragement and partnership in God’s mission. I would like to share some encouraging news from two mission fields, as well as a recent blessing in my ministry through participating in the Expect26 Conference and visiting several UK churches. God has encouraged me greatly through the experiences.

Recently, we began ministry in two new mission fields Raghunathpur and Bedhgari, where we have been able to share the Gospel openly with people in the communities. Our mission workers have been visiting these places, developing relationships, listening to people, praying with them, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

At first, some people were hesitant to listen to the Gospel. However, as we continued to visit and build relationship, we saw people becoming more open and interested in hearing about Jesus. We believe this is the work of the Holy Spirit, who is touching and preparing people’s hearts.

Some of the people who heard the Gospel have been deeply moved and are beginning to think differently about Jesus Christ. They have expressed a desire to know more about him and to welcome Christ into their lives. This has been great encouragement to us and to the mission workers. We are praying that these early responses will develop into regular Bible studies, discipleship groups, and eventually new churches.

I am also very thankful for the opportunity to participate in the Expect26 Conference and to visit several UK churches. It was a very special and encouraging experience for me. Meeting brothers and sisters in Christ, sharing about the ministry in Bangladesh, listening to their stories, and praying together reminded me that we are part of one worldwide family of God.

I was very blessed and excited by the warm welcome I received for the UK churches. The fellowship and encouragement strengthened my heart and gave me renewed enthusiasm to continue serving in mission. I returned with deeper sense of partnership and a strong desire to see more people in Bangladesh hear and respond to the Gospel. Please pray especially for His work in their hearts, remove every barrier, and lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are thankful that God is opening doors for ministry in these new places.

Personally, I am continuing to serve as Mission Manager with responsibility for encouraging and supporting mission workers and developing new mission fields. Ministry requires travelling, teaching, encouraging workers, and helping churches become more active in holistic mission.

My participation in Expect26 and my visits to UK churches were a great blessing to me. Personally,  I was encouraged by the prayers, friendship, hospitality, and commitment of the churches. I am excited to continue the work God has given us in Bangladesh and to see how He will lead us in the coming days.

Thank you for standing with us and with the ministry through your prayers and partnership.

1. Please pray for the two new mission fields (Raghunathpur &, Bedhgari) that God will continue to open doors and establish His church in these communities.

2. Please pray for the people who have the Gospel, that the Holy Spirit will continue transforming their hearts and minds and lead them to welcome Jesus Christ.

3. Please pray for our mission workers, that God will give them courage, wisdom, protection, and strength as they serve these new places.

4. Please pray for the partnership between Bangladesh and UK churches, that our fellowship and cooperation in God’s mission will continue to grow and bear much fruit.

Thank you so much for your prayers, friendship, and partnership in the Gospel. I am deeply grateful for the welcome and encouragement I received during my visits to UK churches and for the opportunity to participate in Expect26. Please continue to pray for the mission in Bangladesh, especially for these new fields the people whose hearts are being touched by the Holy Spirit. May we continue serving Christ together for His glory.

With grateful prayers and love,

Rev. Barnabas Hemrom
