When I was in Lebanon one testimony especially moved me to tears. During a church service, I noticed a woman wearing a hijab. The pastor invited her to share her story with me. She explained that she had studied Islamic law and had spent her entire life as a passionate and devoted Muslim. Someone had given her a New Testament, but she placed it on a shelf and ignored it. One day, determined to prove it wrong, she began reading.
Then she came across Jesus’ words: “Love your enemies.” Those words pierced her heart. She could not stop reading. Hour after hour, she turned the pages, captivated by love, grace, and truth, she found in Christ. Over time, she surrendered her life to Jesus. Today, she still wears her hijab. Her family does not know that she has become a Christian. Yet every week she courageously comes to church, growing in her faith. Even more amazing, she now leads a Bible study for Muslim women, sharing the hope she has found in Christ.
In a nation scarred by war, God is still writing stories of redemption. Where there is despair, He brings hope. Where there is darkness, His light still shines, and no darkness can overcome it.
Last year, I had the privilege of giving training at a church in Wolverhampton, and recently I was blessed to visit this beloved church again. My time there was truly wonderful. One of the highlights was a special time when the church family gathered to pray for me and the ministry.
Their love, encouragement, and faith were a great blessing to my heart.
What touched me most was the pastor’s passion for reaching the local community, where many people come from a Muslim background. His heart for the lost reflects the love of Christ and the Great Commission. The UK needs more pastors with this kind of vision, compassion and commitment to share the Gospel. When a pastor carries a God-given vision, it inspires, strengthens and mobilises the whole church to serve the Lord faithfully and reach others for his Kingdom.
During our Gospel outreach in Dublin, the Lord directed my steps to a Somali gentleman. When I asked whether he knew anything of Christ, he confidently declared he knew everything about Christianity. I smiled warmly and replied, "Praise God — you may know more than many believers!" He began expounding on the Trinity, yet we soon discovered that what he had received was what Islam says about Christianity — not what Scripture truly reveals.
When the rain began to fall, by God's sovereign grace, this dear man chose to remain. For the first time in outreach, I lifted a quiet prayer asking the Lord to hold back the rain — for his heart was so earnest and open before God. For forty minutes, the Holy Spirit led us through the sacred mysteries of the Trinity and the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every word of wisdom came not from me, but graciously from above.
At last, with wonder in his eyes, he said, "I have never understood it like this — you explained it so beautifully."
He received a New Testament into his hands and promised to return. To God alone be all glory and praise.
The Arabic Church in Dublin — that we would remain faithful to the Lord and continue to grow in both faith and numbers. We are currently facing some challenges, as several refugees we have been working with have been relocated to areas several hours away from the church.
Dublin Outreach — praise God that the street outreach continues strongly every Saturday. Please pray that many hearts would be open to the Gospel.
