Greetings from Bangladesh

Dear friends and Prayer Partners,

Greeting from Bangladesh. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We are encouraged to see God at work through evangelism, leadership development, and mission training. During the past few months, we have witnessed lives transformed, new leaders equipped, and young people inspired for mission. We are grateful to share some highlights from the ministry with you.

We praise God for several encouraging developments in our mission work. Last month, 13 Muslim background believers were baptised after professing their faith in Jesus Christ. Their decision to follow Christ publicly was a significant step, sepecially as many face pressure from family and community members. Please pray that they will continue to grow as discples and become witnesses in their communities.

Another exciting development is the launch of the second batch of our Diploma in Applied Mission training. 22 students have enrolled and begun their studies. The training aims to equip believers with biblical knowledge, practical ministry skills, evangelism, and a heart for mission. We are encouraged by the enthusiasm of these students as they prepare to serve churches and communities throughout Bangladesh.

My ministry continues to involve travelling, visiting mission field and churches, encouraging mission workers, training and co-ordinating across Bangladesh. I am thankful for the opportunities God provides to serve His people and strengthen local churches.

Please pray for wisdom, good health, and strength as I balance these responsibilities. I am continually encouraged by seeing new believers grow in faith and emerging leaders develop confidence in ministry. Thank you for your partnership and prayers, which make this work possible.

We are also continuing our New Leaders Training. This training helps believers learn how to lead Sunday church sevices, including worship, prayer, Bible reading, and preaching. The training was developed to strengthen weak churches and address the shortage of pastors in many rural areas. We are already seeing participants gain confidence and take greater leadership responsibilities within their congregations.

Finally, 12 young people recently participated in an Action Team mission trip to new mission field. They spent time supporting local ministry activities, learning from experienced mission workers, and sharing the love of Christ with local communities. The experience challenged and inspired them, helping them better understand God’s mission and their role within it.

Pray for the 13 newly baptised believers as they grow in faith.

Pray for the 22 Diploma in Applied Mission students as they prepare for future ministry.

Pray that the New Leaders Training will strengthen churches facing leadership shortages.

Pray that the young people who joined the Action Team mission trip will continue to respond to God’s call to mission.

I am going to participate Expect26 and visiting some UK churches. Pray for my safe journey and all arrangements.

Thank you for standing with us through your prayers and support. We are grateful for your partnership in God’s mission and for your encouragement as we serve in Bangladesh. Please continue praying that God will strengthen His church, raise up new leaders, and draw many people to Himself.

With prayers,

Rev. Barnabas Hemrom
