Pastor J

February 2026

His mission continues, our joy abounds!

Dear friends and supporters,

Greetings in the name of Jesus. The past three months have been very busy, as Christmas always brings many opportunities for ministry. Even in the busyness, we have seen God’s kindness and power, with prayers answered in ways that brought us great joy.

In this letter, we are glad to share highlights report from December 2025 to February 2026. We hope these updates—made possible through your faithful support—will encourage you as much as they have encouraged us.

Christmas Programs in Cambodia

Christmas is not an official holiday in Cambodia, but churches and Christian groups celebrate it throughout December with worship, songs, dramas, and outreach programs. We joined several church events during the month. In 2025, I highlighted some of our mission activities during this season. These events provided opportunities to share the gospel, strengthened fellowship among believers, and created outreach to the wider community. During this time, more than 800 people who were not yet believers heard the message of the gospel.

  •     Kydan Roy Church (Dec 14, 2025): This village is a focus area for our friends, the Mizo missionaries. Together with dorm students and our church members, we joined their Christmas celebration. Worship, songs, and drama were presented by Horaios Dorm students, and I served as the speaker.
  •     Vehpous Baptist Church (Dec 14, 2025): One of our main focus villages celebrated Christmas with about 250 attendees, including children. I delivered the message, and various activities were organized for the congregation.
  •     Horaios Baptist Church (Dec 21, 2025): This is the church we started in 2015, where I serve as senior pastor. Approximately 100 people gathered for the Christmas celebration, and Pastor Meng was invited as the guest speaker. This year was especially meaningful for us, as we were able to celebrate Christmas in our own rented building. In previous years, our rented house could not accommodate the event, so we had to hire a hall for the Christmas program.
  •     Ankolanh Baptist Church (Dec 28, 2025): Around 300 people attended. Horaios Hostel Students performed songs and drama, and I shared the message during the program.
  •     Peace International School (Dec 25, 2025): The school held a Christmas program with gifts and messages. We extended our Christmas fund to support this event.
  •     One Hope International School (Dec 29, 2025): About 320 students participated in the Christmas program, where I was invited to deliver a short message.

Although Christmas is not a national holiday in Cambodia, churches and Christian institutions celebrated the season with meaningful programs.

Refugee Support

The border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand has displaced more than 50,000 people. In December and January, I was able to visit two locations to provide support, deliver gospel message, and pray for them.

  •    December 18–19, 2024: At Svaysor and Prokeab Baptist Churches, about 120 refugee families were welcomed. With help from the BMS Christmas Project fund and our relief budget, we provided food, supplies, and shared God’s Word.
  •     January 24, 2025: In Bantey Meanchey, along the Cambodia–Thailand border, we reached 50 displaced families with aid and encouragement. This relief was supported by the Mizo community and Horaios Baptist Church in Cambodia.

Though our efforts may seem small, we are thankful to bring comfort and help to those in need. Presently, there is a ceasefire, and displaced people are in the process of relocation. However, many have not yet been resettled. Please continue to pray for them as they seek stability and hope.

A New Children Ministry!!

We are thankful and excited that God has given us a new ministry in Phnom Penh! Following our Christmas outreach event, we began offering English lessons together with fellowship. On January 11, five children came, then fifteen the next day, and now about 20 children have registered. We even had to buy study tables! Our team member BCM missionary Lalrelkimin teaches English every evening from 5:30–6:30 pm, and on Fridays, my wife, Mrs. Lalrengpui, leads Bible lesson crafts and song practice. Some children have also started joining our Sunday worship and Sunday school - all are not Christian. We believe this is a ministry God has entrusted to us, and we are grateful. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve and share His love.

Family Update

By God’s grace, our family is doing well. Our eldest son, Caleb, is preparing for his Grade 10 exams. One of our greatest joys this year is that our daughter Sarah, who is in Grade 6, received the “Student of the Semester 2025” award at her middle school. She was honored with a framed certificate of appreciation from her school.

Our youngest, Rosangpuii, is also doing well. We recently celebrated her birthday on January 2nd, and later in the month, on January 29th, we celebrated Caleb’s birthday. We are truly grateful to everyone who sent us warm birthday wishes.

Blood Donation:

In Cambodia, the Department of Health has organized blood donation drives every year on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, since 2013. Our church joyfully joined this national tradition four years ago, and I was blessed to encourage our members to take part by donating blood together with two members at the beginning in 2023. This year, 6 members were able to join the blood donation drive, and since then, it has become a meaningful tradition for our church family, and for me personally, this was my third time donating. Moreover, the members of the church now embrace it as our tradition—and this is our joy! We thank God for the privilege of giving blood to help save lives, and I am grateful to be part of this act of service.

Training on Leadership, Understanding the church, and our responsibilities: On 15th February 2026, Sunday, as part of the church’s annual plan we had our first training today. I was the resource person. We learned about the differences between the church, NGOs and business organization-how each has its own purpose, structure and goals. We also learned the importance of knowing our roles and responsibilities in the church. By understanding the true purpose and goals of the church, knowing our individual roles and responsibilities, we can serve God wholeheartedly and work together in unity. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and serve God together.

Prayer Requests

Please pray for the gospel meeting with the Horaios Hostellers, which we plan to hold in March 2026.

I am preparing to attend the BMS Expect 26 Conference from June 21–26. I also expect to visit some churches while in the UK, so I plan to arrive one week earlier and stay until June 28. Please pray for my travel plans—visa application, flight booking, and church visit arrangements.

Your encouragement and prayers sustain us as we serve. We praise God for His goodness and for the blessing of walking this mission journey with you.

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

With blessings,

Pastor J. Lalduhawma and family Phnom Penh
