Helen and Wit Boondeekhun

February 2026

Boondeekhun's Bulletin

Dear Friends

Greetings from Thailand. We're still enjoying the beautiful cool nights of the winter season but it can get quite hot during the day. Whatever the weather we continue in our ministry here and we are praying that 2026 would be a year of fruitfulness. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

Thank you for your prayers for all of our Christmas outreach events, which went well for the most part and were a great opportunity to share with folk about the birth of Jesus the Saviour. Wang Daeng put on a special event for the local health volunteers, as well as holding an evangelistic service at the church. Ban Dara, put on an event in the local market area, which in hindsight was probably a bit too adventurous for a small church to attempt; there were quite a few issues and problems arising. Nevertheless, it meant that many more people got to hear the Good News, including several village leaders who stayed right until the end. In Maesan, the focus was on children and families and many village folk turned up to celebrate with us.

At the end of January we had a visit from a team of nine young people from CrossCulture Church in Melbourne Australia. They were with us for an amazing 10 days of mission to all three churches, which included: school visits, home visits, youth groups, a children's camp and church services. Believers were blessed and encouraged, seekers heard and responded to the gospel and seeds were sown into the lives of many children and young people. Please pray for the follow up of all the people whose lives were touched by their ministry. For the team themselves. it was quite an eye-opening experience and several expressed a desire to seek God's guidance regarding mission work in the future.

Christmas 2025 was particularly special for us as we were able to spend it with our son and his family in Chiang Mai. This was the first time in 10 years that we have been able to celebrate together. We even managed to find a restaurant that did roast turkey and all the trimmings, which our granddaughter particularly enjoyed!

Wit has been diagnosed with a recurrence of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and is due to have an operation on 11th February. He will have to spend several days in hospital, in Bangkok. He will then need to take it easy for a few weeks during the recovery period. We would really appreciate your prayers that all will go well with no complications.

The Ban Dara church building project is well underway and looking good so far. Malee, a member of the Ban Dara church is working on the site and it's great that she can get some much needed income. Please continue to pray for good workmanship, safety of the workers, good relationships with neighbours and for the remaining finance. Praise God for the donations that have been coming in since the New Year and pray that we will be able to open the church debt free.

Seven new believers from the Ban Dara Church are due to be baptised on 8th February - great news!

At the end of December, Pastor Sky left us to return home and care for his grandmother. Fortunately, Ajarn Tah has stepped in to help with the football ministry and children's work and is doing well connecting with the young people. Please pray that we can find a new youth pastor, especially one who is gifted musically.

We believe that the future lies in training local believers to be leaders and pastors. Team (left) is already in his second year of Bible College, and now two more young people, Chub (right) and Grape (centre) have decided to study at Bible College later this year - Praise God!

Please pray for the follow-up of all those whose hearts were touched by the Christmas outreach events and Australian mission team visit

Pray for Wit's operation on 11th February - for a successful outcome and quick recovery

Pray for the Ban Dara church building project

Pray for the baptism of seven new believers for the Ban Dara Church on 8th February and for their ongoing walk with God

Pray for a new youth pastor for Wang Daeng

Pray for Team, at Bible College, and Grape and Chub as they prepare to go later this year

Pray for our pastors - Neng, Areerat and Newton - that they would have wisdom, strength and joy as they lead the congregations

Pray that our leaders and members would continue to grow in their faith, and in love and unity

Blessings in Christ

Wit & Helen
