Pastor J

September 2025

Stand Strong. Love Deep. Carry the Cross.!

Warm greetings in the name of Jesus to all our partner and supporters.

The last two months have shown us how kind and powerful God is. We’ve seen our prayers answered in ways that bring us great joy. One of the happiest moments was seeing six new believers baptized during this time. This reminds us that you are an important part of this journey. Your prayers, support and encouragement help us move forward every step of the way.

As we look back, I’d like to share some of the key activities we’ve been involved in—special moments that have helped grow and strengthen our ministry.

 ·        Horaios Ministry monthly Evangelist Meetingon 5th August 2025

We thank God for blessing us with good health and the opportunity to come together — sharing the challenges we face and praying for one another.  We learned valuable lessons that can help us in our ministry and strengthen our walk with God.

Personal and Family Update

By God’s grace, we are doing well. Our children returned to school on September 29th after a one-week break for the Pchum Ben festival.

My wife, Lalrengpuii, is currently working hard on writing a lesson book for the Women Baptist Fellowship of BCM. She has been assigned to prepare the 2026 lesson book for studying entitled, The Role of a Christian Mother in Mizo Society, Church and Family.  She is giving most of her time to this task, as the deadline is in October. Please keep her in your prayers.

I’m also doing well personally. One of my assistants is staying in a village for three months—from the last week of September to December 2025—to improve her language and cultural understanding. During this time, I am taking full responsibility for the dormitory while continuing all regular ministry activities, including training sessions and monthly evangelists’ meetings.

We truly need your prayer support for strength and good health to carry out the ministry faithfully. Thank you for standing with us.

·        Charity ministry among Refugees: Saturday, August 23, 2025 we were honored to join the relief ministry organized by Home of English School in Preah Vihear, Cambodia. Their commitment to supporting refugees is truly commendable—this wasn’t their first time offering aid, and it certainly won’t be the last.

During this outreach, we visited two locations near Preah Vihear city: one sheltering 270 families, and another place 340 families. Essential food supplies were distributed to both communities, bringing much-needed relief and hope.  A heartfelt thank you to Steve and his family, the generous owners of Home of English School, for extending their compassion to those in need. May God bless them and the refugees they continue to serve. Cambodia longs for  peace—and we pray that harmony prevails between Cambodia and Thailand.

·        Two-Day Evangelism Outreach – On August 22nd and 23rd, 2024, a dedicated team of evangelists joyfully carried out a gospel outreach in Tropeang Tonluab Village. By God’s grace, the Good News was shared with around 40 precious souls. What a blessing to see hearts touched by the message of salvation! Let us continue to pray and prepare for the follow-up program, so that the seeds planted may grow and bear fruit for the Kingdom. The harvest is plentiful, and we believe the Lord will continue to move mightily in this village!

·        A Joyful Testimony of Transformation and Baptism: Sopheak got baptized!  Who is Sopheak?

Sopheak is a Taxi driver. His two children already got married. Presently he is staying with his wife. Once His Three-Wheeler Taxi was hired by the SEAMS missionary who are doing ministry in Bangtrum village. After which he was regularly hire by them on Sunday. While waiting for the missionaries he also attends the worship service with them.

One day during their worship service God touch his heart and he suddenly take off his religious rope belting around his waist and he proclaim that he wanted to follow Jesus. Since then, he also assists the missionaries in their ministry acting as assistant to them while they teach English to the children. The more he listens the story of Christ he believes that Jesus is God and wanted to take Baptism in his name.

One day the three missionaries brought him to our Mission Quarters were we rent the building. After we had a talk and a briefing about baptism and what a baptized person must do, he strongly confessed his faith to Jesus as his personal savior. He was baptized on 24th Aug 2025 (Sunday) at Horaios Baptist Church.

  ·        Five New Believers got Baptised: August 10, 2025: Vehpous Baptist Church, Vehpous village.

We give thanks to God for the five new believers who were baptized today at Vehpous Baptist Church in Vehpous village. We also praise God for the opportunity to worship in our newly constructed church building.  Heartfelt thank you to our dedicated partner evangelists—Pastor Bros, Sokea—and to all the church members and prayer partners across different regions. Your prayers are powerful and never in vain.

·        Meeting with Bible College students: On September 1, 2025, I had a meaningful experience with a final-year students from Phnom Penh Bible School. We sat down together for a thoughtful discussion and interview about church planting across Cambodia. I share my experience and our vision in Cambodia. It was inspiring to witness the passion and vision of a young leader preparing to shape the future of ministry in Cambodia.  A glimpse into the next generation of ministry leaders shaping the future

·        Discipleship training: On September 2, 2025 – A discipleship training session was held at Horaios Baptist Church, attended by 15 participants. The event was jointly organized by Horaios Ministry in collaboration with Big Life Ministry. The primary resource person for the training was Benjamin Francis from India.

Bibles and Hymnals distribution: on the day 2nd Sept 2025 after training session was over we distributed 40 Bibles and 20 Hymnals as heartfelt gifts to local churches—strengthening faith and uplifting worship in the community.

Prayer Request:

1.   Please pray for the college students at Horaios Dormitory—to grow in faith and do well in their studies. We still have room for 8 more students, so help spread the word!

2.   Pray for the Children’s meeting that will happen on the second Sunday of October, organized by our ministry.

3.   Pray for the Training Certificate Dedication Program in the month of October at Svaysor Baptist Church, hosted by our mission.

4.   Pray for the Youth meeting planned by our mission in November.

Thank you for walking with us in faith and prayer. Your love and support encourage us daily as we continue sharing the light of Christ in Cambodia. Together, we are part of God’s mission—planting seeds of hope and building His Kingdom, one life at a time.

Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

Blessings
