God has been faithful in guiding and empowering our ministry to overcome the many challenges and rise up against all odds and go into the most remote parts of our nation to share the message of hope to the hopeless. Despite the challenges, the Lord has opened new villages to hear the Gospel as a result of which the response has been amazing. God is at work transforming lives through our outreaches and discipleship trainings.
We thank God for BMS who has stood with us prayerfully and empowering us to surge forward to see the extension of God's Kingdom.
The Lord continues to open new avenues to share the Gospel which has helped transform lives, and their testimonies are bringing other people to the Savior! The use of the Jesus Film ministry to reach different villages and transforming lives both physically and spiritually has been the most effective way to reach people. As a result of this, 100s and 100s of people have also received baptism.
In spite of very challenging times being faced by us, we have seen God answer our prayers and progress the work of the Kingdom.
Abigail visited Cambodia to conduct a Disciple Making Youth Conference with many young people being greatly blessed by the training. She has now returned to college for her final semester.
Benjamin recently visited the 2 leprosy colonies that were started by our team of leaders in Odisha. He visited TWO districts where presently 120 families reside in each of these districts, who barely live and survive from hand to mouth and often times they even go without food for days. Benjamin was able to minister to these lepers and also distribute basic essential items to them. The families in these colonies are greatly blessed by the love shown to them through our team.
Gillian continues to minister to the women encouraging and challenging them to become disciple makers for Jesus. Gillian has trained 100s of women who are now actively involved in the disciple making movements
Praise God for our team of leaders who sought to start work in two leprosy colonies of Odisha where they have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. Their situation is very bad as onone supports them. Even if they go out on the streets to find work or ask for alms, they are shunned by the local people. No proper food, water or shelter can be provided, as a result of which they starve, suffer malnutrition and other various diseases as no proper medical care can be provided for them.
Bro. Thomas and his team of leaders have worked effortlessly to help and work with these families to give them a hope for a brighter tomorrow. They regularly visit these colonies to conduct feeding programs, and help with teaching the children who are also neglected and not allowed into any kind of schools. We are so thankful that they have been able to reach out to these people and start fellowships with the lepers !
Testimony: This is Ankush Sharma from North Bengal. He is only 19 years old and had a very severe drug addiction. He was involved in bad company of friends and learned to steal from people due to his drug abuse. His parents were daily wage workers and because of his constant drug habits, he troubled them alot. He used to bully his parents a lot as a result they decided to send him out for work. They sent Ankush to his relatives in Mumbai, unfortunately even in Mumbai he did not give up his addiction and he joined a group of young people who were also drug addicts. Along with his friends he would go to colleges to sell drugs to students and made his living this way. However, there was a police raid and Ankush got arrested and would not be released from prison at all. When his parents heard about this they were deeply distressed and did not know what to do. But thankfully his parents met one of their relatives who came to get more information on Ankush. He is a Christian and shared the gospel at the time with the parents and encouraged them to trust in the Lord Jesus. Ankush's mother after hearing the Gospel message said “that I would follow Jesus and give up all my idol worship if the Lord would do a miracle in my son's life”… After much prayer, Ankush was released from Mumbai prison as there was no concrete evidence found against him. Witnessing this miracle the entire family was convinced that it was only Jesus that heard their prayers. They bought Ankush back home and shared the Gospel with him. He was thankful to the Lord for saving him. He is now a follower of Jesus and has giving up his addiction and all his bad habits. He regularly attends church and has also found a job as well. Praise God for this wonderful miracle of deliverance !
Pray that we would b able to double the number of fellowships by the end of this year. Pray for protection and courage for believers facing persecution, harassment, or violence, that they would stand firm in their faith and be a witness to their communities. Pray for the Disciple Making Movement in South Asia to grow and spread. Pray for empowerment and guidance for those making disciples and upon the movements. Pray for multiplication of disciples who are making disciples and pray for deep transformation in the lives through obedience to God's word.
We are very thankful to the BMS for your continuous support and prayers which has been vital in seeing our people go forward despite all the challenges. We rejoice with you in what God is doing and we celebrate your partnership with us.
