What are you looking for?
Can you bring hope and help to people in desperate need?
Myanmar was devastated by an earthquake and subsequent aftershocks on Friday 28 March. It left thousands of people dead and many more injured and without homes. After years of civil war and brutal military rule, the people of Myanmar are left without hope, and few places to turn for help.
But that’s where you come in. Please give what you can today to bring vital aid to those most affected.
£10 could provide a family with vital healthcare supplies, including sanitary pads, water filters and soap.
£20 could provide a family with a day’s essential food and cooking equipment, including rice, oil and pans.
£50 could provide a family with an evacuation pack, including blankets, mats and mosquito nets.
Since the earthquake struck, BMS World Mission has been working with our partners in the region and the global Baptist family on our response plan. The military regime’s long history of denying humanitarian assistance makes the situation incredibly complex. However, our partnerships on the ground are already working to bring help to people in desperate need after the quake – and now we need your help.
Your gift will help provide emergency support to the people of Myanmar. If our appeal target is exceeded, any additional funds will go to support disaster recovery wherever it is needed in the future.
