    Help for the Journey Prayer and share event

    Join us to hear from Wissam Nasrallah and Joy El Kazzi about their work with displaced people in Lebanon and how this fits into BMS World Mission's wider Help for the Journey programme. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and pray for their work.

    Joy is new to our Church Partners program so this will be great opportunity for Churches that do not have a current Partner Mission Worker to explore partnering with Joy.

    • Wissam Nasrallah

      President, ABTS

      Wissam Nasrallah is President of the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS), a ministry of Thimar and a long-term BMS partner in Lebanon. He joined Thimar (formerly know as LSESD) in 2017, initially serving as Operations Manager and later Chief Operations Officer. He studied Political and Social Sciences and Finance and Strategy at Sciences Po Paris. Through ABTS, he is involved in equipping men and women across the Arab world for Christian ministry and leadership.

    • Joy El Kazzi

      Program Officer

      Joy El Kazzi is a Program Officer at Middle East Revive & Thrive (MERATH) in Lebanon, with a background in community social work, public health and development. Her experience includes managing education and safeguarding projects in Lebanon and Syria, donor relationships, training, and work relating to child protection. She holds a Master of Social Work from Baylor University and a BSc in Public Health and Development Sciences from the University of Balamand.

    • Sam Chaise

      Head of Programme for People on the Move

      Sam Chaise leads BMS World Mission’s People on the Move programme, working with partners and networks to develop this part of BMS’ Help for the Journey ministry. A Canadian now based in northern France, he previously served as Executive Director of the Christie Refugee Welcome Centre in Toronto and as CEO of Canadian Baptist Ministries. His experience also includes developing leaders, church ministry and supporting communities welcoming people on the move.

    • Sarah Mhamdi

      People on the Move Lead

      Sarah Mhamdi is BMS World Mission’s People on the Move Lead, working with partners and mission workers as part of BMS’ Help for the Journey programme. She joined BMS in 2003 and has served as a trainer in Birmingham, overseas as a mission worker and at BMS’ Didcot office. Her areas of experience include North Africa, Islam and integral mission.
