Heart for the Gospel Team Lead

BMS World Mission is looking for someone to be the leader of a globally dispersed team of mission workers. You will play a significant role in the evangelism and discipleship team and the Department of World Mission. As team leader for evangelism and discipleship, your role would involve contributing to the development of BMS strategy in your ministry area, in consultation with the Head of Programme (HoP) and Director for Mission (DM). You will bring expertise and perspective on contextualization to the strategy discussion. As the Heart for the Gospel Lead your responsibilities include, the management and oversight for BMS Personnel and Partnerships within a range of the Heart for the Gospel contexts, as defined within the BMS strategy and Department for World Mission structure.

The Lead role falls into four main areas as follows

• Support the development and implementation of BMS strategy in the ministry area

• Lead, support and guide BMS mission personnel through effective line management

• Take a lead on and build relationships with BMS partners – striving towards fruitful mission impact

• Bring specific ministry expertise into the wider work of BMS

The successful applicant will be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement.

Location: Ghana, Accra / Remote working.

This role would be overseas-based and remote working. The role includes travelling to visit BMS mission workers and BMS Partners in various places where BMS Heart for the gospel work is carried out. The role holder would be required to travel to the UK at certain times during the year to meet with other colleagues and be part of significant meetings. There is scope to work from home some of the time. The cost of travel to BMS Didcot for BMS-related work as and when required would be borne by the employer.

Hours: 35 hrs. per week/full time

Employment type: Permanent

Salary range: The salary will be set at a national equivalent of a UK salary of £39,132.00 to £43,925.00 and based on the relative national salary levels of the relevant country.
