Expect Regional Event – Guildford Baptist Church

This year, to coincide with our quadrennial ‘Expect’ conference, BMS World Mission will be hosting events for churches and individuals around the UK to share our heart and vision for mission. This in-person event at Guildford Baptist Church will be an opportunity to hear from Ben Francis (India) and Ingrid and Roger Hamlet (Chad) alongside Arthur Brown, Director for World Mission, to explore what God is doing around the world, worship together and to pray for the global Church.

Where and when

  • Guildford Baptist Church, Millmead, Guildford, GU2 4BE

  • Saturday 4 July 2026

  • 10:30am followed by light buffet lunch

Contributors

  • Arthur Brown

    BMS Director for World Mission

Building on his experience as a mission worker in Lebanon, Arthur now leads strategic initiatives to support global church engagement and mission partnerships. His experience and passion make him a compelling voice for mission-focused transformation and spiritual renewal.

  • Ben Francis

    Mission Worker, India

Benjamin is BMS World Mission's Team Leader in India. He oversees BMS work in his home city, Kolkata, and beyond. Benjamin’s team reaches thousands of people with Christ's love even as Christians increasingly experience persecution. His team offers practical support, such as free medical camps. They distribute Bibles, share personal testimonies and show the Jesus film. Benjamin also heads up BMS' partner in West Bengal, which plants churches in local villages and trains new leaders.

  • Ingrid and Roger Hamlet

    Mission workers in Chad

Ingrid and Roger Hamlet joined BMS World Mission in January 2024, as allied health professionals working in prosthetics and orthotics. On completion of their missions and language training, they moved to Guinebor II Hospital in N’Djamena, Chad, to set up a Prosthetics and Orthotics Department. They met at university, where they both studied prosthetics and orthotics. In recent years, they have spent a lot of time playing Lego with their two children, Mark and Joel!
