Claire Bedford Celebration

Many of you have faithfully supported the ministry of Claire Bedford.

You are warmly invited to our special events celebrating Claire’s ministry in Chad, where she has served with BMS World Mission for more than 10 years at Guinebor II Hospital.

Together we will give thanks for all that God has done through Claire’s work, recognise the faithful prayer and support of her partner churches and friends and commission her as she prepares for the next chapter.

An in-person event will take place at Claire’s home church, Upton Vale Baptist Church in Torquay (TQ1 3HY), on Sunday 25 October 2026 from 10:30am. The service will be followed by a lunch at 12:30pm, where Claire will share stories and highlights from Chad, with a BMS update and a time of prayer and commissioning.

As one of Claire’s supporters, you are very welcome to attend the service, the lunch or both – she would love to see you in person.

It would be really helpful for the church to know to expect you so please do complete the registration form here if you’re planning to join them.

Two alternative online events are available for those of you who are further afield or unable to attend the celebration in Torquay. These will be held on Monday 9 November at 12:30-1:45pm and Tuesday 10 November at 7:30-8:45pm.
