At the age of 14, Helen felt called to serve God in Thailand. Years later, she decided to take time out to seek God’s direction and study Thai. Wit became her Thai teacher and later her husband. They moved to Thailand, where Wit used his experience as a minister and Helen used her experience as a TEFL teacher to plant churches in Bangkok and Nakhon Sri Thammarat.
In 2015, they returned to Thailand with BMS World Mission. Working alongside Thai church planters, they continue to establish churches among the indigenous Buddhist people group and disciple local believers. They also teach English and help with livelihood programmes, such as the new agricultural learning centre at Wang Daeng.
Wit loves gardening and tropical fish. Helen enjoys cooking and singing. They have two grown-up children.
Helen and Wit Boondeekhun will be on home assignment in the UK and available to request for mission worker visits from 2 June to 16 July 2025.
Please submit your request by 9am Monday 6 January 2025.
